Delivers and services catering to designated venues. Reports to Food Service Manager or other designated supervisor.

Examples of Duties:
Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:
Gathers and loads prepared food, equipment, and sundries into catering vehicle; drives to designated site and unloads food and related items at destination.Sets up, maintains, and tears down serving lines, materials, and equipment required for catering service; sets and clears tables; operates food service equipment (e.g., coffee machine) and helps serve food and beverages (may include alcoholic beverages) at catering site; replenishes food and related supplies, as required.Signs and accounts for all goods, obtains signature for receipt of food and related items upon delivery.Maintains sanitation standards in accordance with the Ohio Department of Health.Keeps vehicle service records and inventory records.May train and direct student employees or employees in a lower pay grade; may participate in training new employees.Performs related duties as required.

A minimum of six months work experience interacting with public.
Must acquire the Ohio Department of Health's Level Two certification in Food Protection during the employee's probationary period.May require proof of age (i.e., 21) to serve alcoholic beverages.Valid Ohio driver's license with safe driving record.
Interpersonal communication to effectively interact with University personnel and public in person and over the telephone (e.g., to speak with patrons regarding placement of deliveries)
Drive delivery truck or vanDemonstrate physical dexterity and lift 100 poundsApply sanitation standardsRead (e.g., work orders), write (e.g., service/inventory records), and accurately follow oral and written instructionsPerform basic mathematics (e.g., add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions and decimals, and to calculate percentages)Maintain accurate recordsPerform minor repairs on vehicle and other job-related equipmentOperate food service equipmentApply safety practices

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
Exposed to food production environment, sharp utensils, kitchen equipment, slippery floors, and variable temperatures and weather conditions; requires moderate physical effort to include frequent lifting and carrying of up to 65 pounds (e.g., food items), and occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds (e.g., food products, catering equipment); may work varied hours and shifts to include evenings, weekends, and holidays; requires on- and off-campus travel.
This is a full time, seasonal opening with a flexible schedule. Typically, Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; however, schedule will vary to meet departmental needs to include evenings and weekends.
