Kent State University Geauga is seeking candidates for a non-tenure track faculty position to teach undergraduate mental health nursing of adults in an ACEN (Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing) accredited associate degree nursing program at the Twinsburg Academic Center.

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:
The successful candidate will teach in a variety of settings including lectures, clinicals, skill and simulation labs in mental health nursing of adults in the ADN curriculum. Additional duties may include assignments in basic fundamentals of adults and basic medical-surgical nursing care of adults. A willingness to employ teaching modalities beyond in-person lecture is required and relevant prior experience will be welcomed.
Additional Examples of Duties – if applicable:
Current active licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio. Master of Science degree in Nursing from an accredited/approved nursing program. 2 years of nursing experience in mental health nursing specialty.
Preferred Qualifications – if applicable:
Master’s degree with a specialty in mental health nursing. Previous undergraduate teaching experience is preferred. Experience in medical-surgical nursing a plus.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
Light work-Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
