Telephone Interviewer II --Intermittent
To conduct telephone surveys for research and serve as a resource to Telephone Interviewer I employees. Reports to designated supervisor.

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:
Contact designated list of respondents and persuade callers to participate.Explain purpose of survey and explain confidentiality of responses.Ask questions strictly adhering to survey scripts.Listen carefully, accurately and record responses into computerized system.Maintain records and reports as required.Serve as resource to Telephone Interviewer I employees.Periodically covers the Supervisor Station/phone when necessary.Perform related duties as assigned.Job Competencies:Work effectively with some oversight from shift supervisor or lab supervisorFollow established protocols and standards.Exceed minimum standards for caller participation.
Additional Examples of Duties – if applicable:
High school diploma or GED. A minimum of four months' experience as telephone interviewer.
Basic Computer Applications – Word Processing, Keyboarding
Listening accuratelySpeaking clearly
Persuade callers to participateAdhere to a very specific scriptRecord information accurately while listeningRead, write, and accurately follow oral and written instructions

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
Light work-Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Confined to one area for extended periods of time; may work varied hours and shifts to include nights and weekends.
