Assists with the planning and implementation of fundraising for a specific functional area, college or campus or for multiple programs as assigned. Directly responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of major gift prospects (gift range $25,000 - $100,000+). Reports to designated supervisor.

ASSISTS WITH THE PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTATION OF FUNDRAISING FOR THE HONORS COLLEGE. DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR MANAGING AN ASSIGNED PORTFOLIO OF MAJOR GIFT PROSPECTS (GIFT RANGE $25,000 - $100,000+). REPORTS TO THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, ADVANCEMENT, KENT CAMPUS COLLEGES AND WORKS CLOSELY WITH THE DEAN OF THE HONORS COLLEGE.
Examples of Duties:
Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:
Coordinate and implement activities designed to increase prospect, alumni and donor engagement and secure philanthropic gifts in support of the functional area, college, or campus or for multiple programs as assigned. Assist supervisor in identifying prospective donors. Manage relationships with an assigned portfolio of approximately 150 rated major gift prospects. Cultivate, solicit, and successfully close gifts from assigned prospects. Conduct research to identify the priorities and needs of a specific functional area, college or campus.Assist in the planning and development of special projects relative to the interests of prospects.May assist with marketing efforts related to developing a culture of philanthropy and securing private gifts.May develop promotional and public relations material, new media initiatives, and conduct special events to support fundraising efforts.Perform related duties as assigned.
Additional Examples of Duties – if applicable:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and three years fundraising and/or sales experience. Must be able to work a flexible work schedule with the ability to travel (which may include overnight stays), and to work nights and weekends.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
Light work-Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent required to travel from building to building and off campus frequently with the ability to meet and greet guests, donors, and prospects for extended periods.
Must pass a security check.
