Basic Function:

To provide business and financial support to the Strategic Partnerships Director, Student Affairs, or designated supervisor for University Dining Services.  Manage program accounting and assist in all phases of program development, internal budgeting, and daily financial administration.

Examples of Duties:

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: 

Perform business support functions (e.g., purchasing, records management, grants management, budget preparation, etc.).

Compile and report financial information.

Maintain and balance accounts.

Correspond with other University departments and outside entities on matters related to business operations.

Utilize and maintain automated reporting systems.

Investigate problems, reconcile solutions, and prepare replies.

Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business plus a minimum of two years of relevant experience. Or a combination of education, training and experience equivalent to an Associate degree in business plus 10 years of progressively responsible experience in monitoring budgets and reconciling accounts in a multi-department or complex business environment.

License/Certification:

Not applicable.

Knowledge Of:

Budgeting; accounting principles; personal computer applications *

Skill In:

Written and interpersonal communication

Ability To:

Communicate effectively with all components of the University and external constituents; manage people and projects

Preferred Qualifications – if applicable:

Experience in Dining Services Administration is preferred.  Internal candidates preferred.

Two years of experience in university management, including experience in training others in the operation of campus systems.

Experience in Dining Services administration.

Experience with CBORD CS Gold Systems, Ellucian Banner, and Financial Reporting Systems.

Experience with business documents, such as contracts, financial reports, invoices, licensing agreements, and operations manuals.

Report preparation, including the use of charts, graphs and tables.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
