Basic Function:

Biological Sciences is looking to fill a full-time, tenure track position any rank (Assistant or Associate Professor in Behavioral Neuroscience.   Position to begin August 2018.

Examples of Duties:

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: 

 The successful candidate would be a Behavioral Neuroscientist who employs current approaches, and whose approach and model system complements our current research strengths in Neuroendocrinology and Behavior Neurosciences.  

Successful candidates will join a growing and thriving department with excellent research and educational programs.  In addition, the recently launched Brain Health Institute at Kent State fosters collaborations among a growing and thriving multi-department/college team of researchers.  

The successful candidate will be expected to establish an extramurally funded research program, engage in collaborative research, direct theses and dissertations, and exhibit a commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education.

Minimum Qualifications:

 A Ph.D. in Neuroscience or related field with post-doctoral experience and a strong history of recent publications in peer-reviewed journals.  
Candidates at the Associate Professor or Professor rank are expected to have a history of sustained extramural funding.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

Light work-Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
